Taking Style to a New Level

imageThis blog post may be stretching my subject matter a little, but I just had to share this with you. We’re talking traveling in style with a capital S.

My daughter subscribes to National Geographic magazine. Along with the monthly magazine come beautiful brochures describing their travel tours called National Geographic Expeditions. Tonight I came home from work to “Around the World by Private Jet”. Whoa.

Quick facts: 24 days, accompanied by a National Geographic photographer and other field experts, including a physician and chef; travel on a private, specially-outfitted Boeing 757; in-flight lecture series and iPads loaded with trip-related content.

Care to take a look at the itinerary. Here goes!

Lima, Peru, then on to Cuzco. Meet NatGeo grantee and master weaver Nilda Callanaupa. Travel by privately chartered train to Machu Picchu.

Easter Island, Chile

Apia, Samoa, Polynesia

Great Barrier Reef, Australia

Angkor Wat, Cambodia (Khmer Empire)

Chengdu, China (pandas)

(My dream) Lhasa, Tibet (Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace, former home of the Dalai Lama)

Taj Mahal, India

Serengeti Plain, Tanzania (safari)

Luxor, the Pyramids and the Sphinx, Egypt

(On my bucket list) Marrakech, Morocco

Back home. I have died and gone to heaven.

Now, without Googling: How much do you think this trip costs? Leave your guess in the Comment section, and I will post the answer tomorrow. I’d love to hear from everyone!
