Sorry that it’s taken me so long to write. We’ve been living it up since we arrived to Oviedo (Asturias, Spain) – plus, my Wifi only works in the bathroom! In any case, I wanted to update you on this fantastic trip.
There’s not a lot to report about the fashion here, since I haven’t done much shopping yet. Will try to fit some in tomorrow, and we’ll do a little window shopping together. Right now, here are my observations:
The weather is still in the 50s and rainy, so most women are still dressed in coats, boots, and scarves — EVERYONE wears scarves.
Tights – every color, every age.
Skinny pants/jeans – Again, everyone from teenagers to about 60. (And very few women are overweight. It figures — I feel like I’ve walked about 100 miles since I got here!)
Leather jackets – I love the jackets! I’ve also seen a lot of trench coats. (Have you heard that somewhere before?!)
Scarves — I’ll say it again – scarves, scarves, scarves! Great big ones, wrapped 2 or 3 times. Lots of flowered patterns, which is one of the things that I’m taking home.
Big, Hollywood sunglasses — I’ve already found mine.
As I mentioned, I’ll take you on a tour of what some of the shops are displaying tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy some of my sightseeing.
