A Sock called “Vincent’s Vanilla”

imageI promised that I would start sharing my knitting with you as I finish my projects – after all, knitwear is a big part of my style, and what knitter doesn’t want to shout from the rooftops when a project is finally finished?!

So here it is – Vincent’s Vanilla. I chose this name for these socks for two reasons:

1) A “vanilla” sock in the knitting world is one that follows a basic pattern with no stitch pattern or unusual heels or toes. My favorite, because I can knit vanilla socks without a pattern and while having a conversation with my husband.

2) The “Vincent” comes from the yarn line that was dyed to resemble Vincent Van Gogh paintings. These absolutely beautiful colors are found in his painting called “Das Restaurant de la Sirene in Asnieres” (shown here).

Do you have a favorite color pallette/combination, or a favorite Van Gogh painting
