Today I have 2 great style/fashion apps – one for the Ipad and one for the Iphone.
NYTimes The Collection
This Ipad app is amazing. It appears on the screen as a collage of photographs (and gorgeous, I might add). You click on the photo, and it gives you more information, such as an article, slideshow, etc.
If you’re interested in high-end fashion and fashion around the world, you’ll get lost in this app. There are categories for news articles, celebrity fashion, runway fashion, and my favorite section called “On the Street”, where they take you to the streets of various global centers of fashion to show what is in style there. The app is free to download, but parts of it requires a NY Time subscription. Even if you don’t have a subscription, there is more than enough to keep you busy!
I haven’t used this Iphone app yet, but it looks like a lot of fun. And it’s timely, since it has to do with wardrobe organization (see my post from yesterday).
With Stylebook, you import photos of your actual clothes, create magazine-style outfits, plan what you want to wear and track your style inspirations. Over 90 features to help you get the most out of your closet.
You can preview the app at stylebookapp.com. The app is available in the Apple App Store for $3.99.
